Trading takes place on exchanges through currency pairs. These assets are quoted against each other, with the first currency listed being the base currency and the second, the quote currency. - for example, BTC/BRL is the currency pair priced in Brazilian Real; or LTC/BTC is the currency pair priced in Bitcoin.
On Vector platforms, currency pairs are organized as follows:
Quote asset:
- fiat currency (Brazilian Real, US Dollar, Euro)
- or another cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc) that establishes the price:
BRL/BTC
ETH/BTC
Traded asset:
- asset to be quoted against the asset selected before:
BTC/ETH
USD/XRP
Pairs are defined only to point out the equivalent price of an asset against the other currency.
For this reason, it is not possible to trade Forex or Long -Short on Vector Platforms.
