Trading on exchanges is carried out through trading pairs. These pairs follow a pattern called base/quote, where base is the traded asset and quote is the pricing asset of the traded asset.
Example: BTC/BRL is the Bitcoin pair priced in Brazilian Real, in other words, you must have a balance in BRL to buy BTC.
If you do not have a balance in the quote currency, the order will be rejected for Insufficient Balance:
Check the balance of the quote currency
To see the balance in each currency, access the Portfolio tool, in the Trade menu:
The Qty column displays the available balance.
The balance is also displayed in the upper right field of the platform:
This field displays the Spot account balance only.
Learn more about the Spot Market by clicking on this link.
You can also view the balance in the Available Balances field in Chart Trading:
Select the pair according to the exchange
It is also possible to search for assets using its own syntax, in order to filter more precisely the pairs you are looking for.
Searched for /USDT.BINANCE, for example, a list of pairs with the USDT as quote by Binance is displayed:
You can also view available pairs by exchange, using the filter in the asset search:
